Frequently Asked Questions about our
Translation/Localization Services
How do you qualify your partners?
We rely on references from our applicants' satisfied
customers, for starters. Also, if we haven't worked with a particular
translator before, we alert our clients to that fact beforehand. At
dappertext, our clients' satisfaction with the work of our partners is
extremely important to us. We're careful to select the most qualified and
reliable freelancers out there, so that your project with dappertext is
just as it should be: 100% hassle-free. Why do you perform
in-house translation from German to English in-house but not vice-versa?
Our German translator, dappertext founder Daniel Park, is
a native speaker of English. Ideally, anyone you select to translate
documents for you ought to be a native speaker of the target
language (that is, the language you're translating into). The
intricacies of any language are extraordinarily subtle. Non-native-speakers of a particular language, no matter how well they speak
it, are not going to have the innate "language sense" required to produce a
truly native-like translation. And since dappertext is committed to giving
you the highest quality work possible, we won't compromise our value and
our brand by offering up a "good enough" translation.
So you have two translators for Spanish, then?
No, just one, a native Spaniard. We can get away with
offering Spanish to English translation because our Spanish translator has
lived in the U.S. for ten years, and more importantly, because Daniel is
there to proofread it for "nativeness."
